These training tests are focused on understudies learning the Linux environment who need to pass the Linux Professional Institute novices test, the LPI Essentials and the middle of the road LPIC-1 test.
The LPIC-1 Linux Administrator exam verifies that the candidate possesses the fundamental knowledge and proven skills in the area of LPI LPIC-1 101.

LPIC-1 is the first certification in LPI’s multi-level Linux professional certification program. The LPIC-1 will validate the candidate’s ability to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux and configure basic networking.

To become LPIC-1 certified the candidate must be able to:
